How do I upgrade my Chinese version to work outside of China?
The Chinese version YI home camera is made only for users in mainland China and is adapted for the needs of the Chinese users. The YI home cameras produced after November 1st, 2015 shall only be used in Mainland China, it cannot be connected successfully outside of China. Cameras produced before November 1st, 2015 can be used outside of China as long as the users do not update the firmware. We recommend the users to buy our international version of cameras to use outside of China.
